Photo shoot in València in 2020 with Mirela

We’ve had to wait until June for this photoshoot in València in 2020. As my posts remain online until I read them again, I will comment that until now we have been in alarm with certain restrictions due to COVID- 19. And we still have a few of them in force, but at least we can see, move and take photos. It is already an advance. In this case I did a session with Mirela and, as you can judge, the results were very good.

You can read this article in Spanish: Sesión de fotos en València en 2020 con Mirela. And you’ll find some additional pics there.

Working with Mirela was extremely easy even though it was my first time doing a session and she even confessed to me that she had been nervous the night before. In a few minutes it was launched and we were able to take photos in just over two hours. Usually everything costs a little more, but we were probably lucky with the location, the clothes and the inconveniences when it comes to choosing the material to process.

Where was this photo shoot done?

The setting for this photo shoot in València in 2020 was the Parc Central . It is not the closest green open space, but it is one which has captivated me so fast. Not only for its vegetation and design, but probably because it was a space that had been stolen from the city for many years. A huge park and close to the city center is something we missed a lot.

Another portrait session.

Photo session in Valencia with Kimly and Helena

With a certain frequency I do a post after a session to show the photos. Anyone who reads me will understand that it is almost essential to show the results of my efforts as a professional photographer, so I could surely avoid long tirades. In this case I did a photo session in Valencia with Kimly ( http://instagram.com/kiimly ) and Helena ( http://instagram.com/helenad.makeup ).

Kimly acted as a model on this occasion, is Dutch and was splendid in front of the camera, although she really has more experience on the other side.Helen is a very young professional makeup artist with a very positive attitude that worked perfectly and adapted to the session. It was the first time I worked with them and the experience, both in the studio and on the outside, was very positive.

Kimly herself took up the issue of styling. She commented with me on the line we were going to follow and her choices were very interesting. There are some studio and other outdoor photos.

In any case, I will update this entry as I process more photos. It’s something I’m doing in most of this web, improving posts with additional images or even reprocessing some if over time I’m not too convinced.

I hope this post about the photo session in Valencia with Kimly and Helena has seemed good and I leave here the link about photo books for individuals .

If you need a book of photos, professional portraits or any other question, you can send me an email to sergi@archerphoto.eu or send a Whatsapp to +34 644459753. Or call me.

Another photo of Vicctoria

Some photos ask for a lot of work, a lot of light control and a lot of process later. Others simply don’t. Others work perfectly with two or three details that, moreover, come directly to mind as soon as you see them.

That’s why I uploaded this other photo of Vicctoria. It was not one of those we chose at first, but it has a point of intensity that interested me especially, perhaps by expression. We moistened her hair a bit to get the shine and that helps a lot to give life to the image.

On the other hand, the black background and the contrast are key elements for the final result.  Looking out of the picture helps to consider that Vicctoria’s thinking is directed more towards other interests than the camera, the light or the photographic session. However, it is not a totally static pose, and that small movement endows an additional interest to the final result. The original frame was vertical, but I finished with a square photo.

Overall, this was a photograph we did for a session that was in the boudoir line. It was the first time that Vicctoria and I worked together and the result was, in my opinion, very positive. If you want to see more photos of this type, you can have a look at this post or this gallery . If you just want to see my portraits…

If you would like to have photos like this other photo of Vicctoria, you can send me an email to sergi@archerphoto.eu or send me a Whatsapp to +34 644459753. I shoot in Valencia, but also in Madrid, Barcelona or any other site.

The boring details

On the technical side: ISO 2000, shot with a 50mm f / 1.4 Canon, but f / 1.6, fired in RAW and later processed with Adobe Lightroom. The camera used was my EOS 5D Mark III, and we were using continuous illumination. The clipping used as a featured photo is a little turned up because it looked better, but it’s the same photo.

Recent portfolios: 2017

portfolio for models Archerphoto professional photographer Valencia Spain

It’s being a quite productive season. If I was doing a lot of videos during the winter, now the portfolios for models, sessions and photos are being a more important part of the work. And they are, without doubt, good fun and in general, very interesting. It is true that in many cases there are topics such as makeup, hairdressing and subsequent editing are a more laborious job than a report of an event, but it is worth it.

Of the sessions, all of them in Spain and most of them in Valencia, some have been boudoir photography, other conventional books and some other professional session. There are also some things that just do not fit here, because they are more private in scope, and there are also other photos that belong to ongoing projects that are not finished and I prefer not to show yet. In some cases work was for a model, in one for a dancer and in another for a person who did not dedicate himself professionally to the image, but in every case we make the maximum effort to obtain the best result.

As I often find, my option for many of the photos final result looks better to me in old black and white. I still can not explain easily why.

In any case, in addition to videos, portfolios, sessions and photos, and all my work as a portrait photographer, the topic of SEO positioning is taking me an important time. I’ll probably have some invited contributions in the coming months.

You can contact me at sergi@archerphoto.eu or on +34 644459753. I don’t always have dates available, so contact me as soon as possible. I don’t just shoot portfolios for models but also business, real estate and corporate photography. In Valencia, in other places in Spain, Europe or wherever.

Photographer in Spain: Portraits 2015 (Part I )

portrait professional photographer

Such as the mysterious title that heads this post could hide almost anything. Rather not. Rather are some pictures of this year I feel like showing. Some were shot with the EOS 5D Mark III and others with my NX500 that every time I like more. Although the EVIL cameras have their limitations in terms of speed of use (the autofocus is not as fast, and least in my case, because I am usually using manual  lenses and there is nothing like auto-focus with them), I find specially charming it weights a third of my ultra reliable and ultraversatile 5D Mark III.

The point is shooting portraits is one of the disciplines that most attracts us photographers. Though today selfies are very fashionable, the portraits taken by someone else  have additional values. Especially when we photographers shoot, because we look at different ways that most people do not take into account and that factors appear ultimately in the final result. And yes, I have a special fondness for black and white, but I think it’s just a slightly harmful vice, except for some ink manufacturers. In any case, as I hope all the world to see on the computer screen, there is not much problem with it.
